High-Density Port Extension for the PBC

For data centers, meet-me rooms, and aggregation sites, the MaiaEdge Port Extender expands physical port capacity for Path Border Controller deployments. The integrated 1U switch adds high-density tenant and service handoff ports while keeping provisioning, visibility, and service control anchored to the PBC.

Adds 48 SFP28 10/25GbE ports for tenant, customer, and service-facing connectivity in dense interconnection environments.

Ultra-Low Latency Performance

Delivers non-blocking, line-rate performance with less than 500 ns port-to-port latency in cut-through mode, ensuring critical traffic crosses the fabric extension without introducing a measurable performance bottleneck.

Carrier-Grade Hardware Resiliency

Equipped with dual hot-swappable, 1+1 redundant power supplies and a 3+1 redundant fan tray to ensure continuous availability in demanding data center environments.

Flexible Cooling Profiles

Full support for both front-to-back and back-to-front airflow configurations, allowing effortless harmonization with standard hot/cold aisle layouts.
